Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, compassionate direct patient care to meet residents’ daily needs
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Monitor and document patient condition changes and report concerns to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect patients and yourself
• Maintain a clean, comfortable environment and follow infection control practices
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care that preserves dignity

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain promptly)
• Comfortable working as part of a care team and communicating with patients and families
• Reliable, compassionate, and attentive to detail — experience in long-term care is a plus
• Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care and bedside assistance skills
• Familiarity with infection control and safe patient handling
• Ability to observe, document, and communicate changes in patient status
• Time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a clinical setting
• Empathy, patience, and good interpersonal skills with patients and coworkers
