Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
Assist residents with mobility, transfers and safe positioning
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate effectively during shift reports
Support a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
Build trusting relationships with residents and their families to enhance quality of life
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — PA certification preferred
Valid CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings (TB, immunizations)
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced care setting

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in personal care routines and safe resident handling
Knowledge of basic clinical observations (vital signs, skin integrity)
Familiarity with documentation best practices and shift reporting
Ability to follow care plans and implement nurse-directed tasks
Teamwork, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills
