Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate daily care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting while preserving dignity
Monitor residents’ conditions and promptly report changes to nursing staff
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team
Follow infection control protocols and facility safety procedures
Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
Participate in orientation and ongoing training to keep skills current

Qualifications

Current and valid CNA certification in Pennsylvania
High school diploma or GED (see education section for details)
Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfort with direct resident care and working as part of a multidisciplinary team
Pass required background checks and immunization/screening requirements
Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
Basic charting and documentation practices
Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
Ability to observe, prioritize, and report resident changes
Teamwork, reliability, and time management in a clinical setting
Respect for resident privacy, dignity, and cultural differences
