Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care and assist residents with activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility safely and respectfully
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff promptly
- Accurately document care given and maintain clear, timely records
- Support a clean and safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver consistent, high-quality resident care
Qualifications
- Current state CNA certification in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or able to obtain
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to pass required background checks, TB screening, and immunization requirements
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively within a care team
Education
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Current CNA certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of resident care principles and safe lifting/transfer techniques
- Familiarity with infection control practices and PPE use
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Effective verbal and written communication with residents and team members
- Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
- Teamwork mindset and willingness to learn from nursing staff
