Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, helping with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
Assist with safe transfers and mobility support to keep residents comfortable and secure
Maintain accurate and timely documentation to support resident care plans
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, respectful environment

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required) — must meet Connecticut state requirements
High school diploma or GED preferred
Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude

Education

CNA certification required; high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on resident care and ADL assistance
Taking and recording vital signs accurately
Basic infection control and safe patient handling
Clear communication and teamwork in a fast-paced setting
Basic charting and familiarity with electronic health records (or willingness to learn)
