Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
Assist nursing staff by taking and recording vital signs and observations accurately
Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper techniques
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in patient condition to the care team
Promote a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Engage residents with dignity and respect, supporting emotional and social needs

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (state certification required; CT certification preferred)
CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
Comfortable with basic clinical tasks and resident care
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Previous long-term care or related experience is a plus; new CNAs eager to learn are welcome

Education

High school diploma or equivalent and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
Basic charting and documentation skills
Ability to follow care plans and direction from nursing staff
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
Compassionate bedside manner and strong observational skills
