Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor and document resident condition and vital signs accurately
Assist nursing staff with treatments and follow care plans closely
Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control procedures
Communicate clearly and kindly with residents and their families
Report changes in condition promptly to the nursing team to ensure quality care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required)
Active authorization to practice in Connecticut (state requirements met)
BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Willingness to complete required health screenings and background checks
Reliable, compassionate, and able to work collaboratively in a team
Preferred: prior long-term care or skilled nursing experience

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential

Knowledge & Skills

Strong resident care and ADL assistance skills
Able to take and accurately record vital signs
Knowledge of basic infection control and safety practices
Good communication and interpersonal skills with residents and staff
Ability to follow care plans and document thoroughly
