Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and support activities of daily living
Assist nursing staff with vital signs, transfers, ambulation, and hygiene
Observe and report changes in resident condition promptly and accurately
Maintain clear, timely documentation in resident records
Work collaboratively with your care team to deliver individualized, dignified care
Support a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — ready to work in Connecticut
Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or able to obtain
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility health requirements (immunizations, TB screening)
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a caring bedside manner
Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting is a plus

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of ADLs (activities of daily living) and basic patient care techniques
Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and patient measurements
Ability to follow care plans and communicate observations clearly
Familiarity with infection control practices and resident safety procedures
Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a busy care setting
