Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during a variety of procedures including general, orthopedic, neuro, robotic, and vascular surgeries
• Prepare and maintain the operating room, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterile and ready
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and handle instruments with precision
• Operate advanced technology such as Da Vinci Xi and Mako Robotic systems
• Collaborate with RNs, surgeons, and anesthesia staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in surgical counts and maintain a safe, sterile environment

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience
• Experience in general, orthopedic, and neuro surgery required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Ability to work flexible shifts, take call, and adapt to different surgical cases

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile technique, and OR protocols
• Experience with robotic surgery systems (Da Vinci Xi, Mako Robot)
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR system
• Trauma and vascular surgery experience preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
