Roles & Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalized occupational therapy treatments that help residents build independence and confidence in their daily activities.
  • Collaborate with the therapy team to implement care plans tailored to each resident's unique goals and needs.
  • Document patient progress accurately and adjust treatment approaches as needed to maximize outcomes.
  • Provide compassionate support to residents and their families, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming therapy space that promotes healing and well-being.

Qualifications

  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification in Colorado.
  • Genuine passion for working with older adults in an assisted living setting.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with therapists, nurses, and families.
  • Ability to adapt to individual patient needs and think creatively in treatment planning.
  • Previous experience in skilled nursing or assisted living is a plus, but new graduates are welcome to apply!

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of occupational therapy techniques, modalities, and adaptive equipment.
  • Familiarity with patient documentation systems and medical terminology.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents and colleagues.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity for assisting patients with mobility and transfers.
  • Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude in all interactions.
