Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to keep residents safe and comfortable
• Take and record vital signs, noting any changes and reporting them to nursing staff
• Support residents with meals, hydration, and nutrition as needed
• Document care provided accurately and promptly
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for residents and families
• Offer emotional support and companionship to brighten every resident's day

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania required
• BLS/CPR certification preferred but not always required
• Prior long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus, though new grads are welcome
• Must be able to pass a background check and comply with facility requirements
• Must bring a state or federal issued ID and wear a photo badge at all times
• A caring heart, a positive attitude, and a commitment to quality care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic resident care techniques and safety protocols
• Confidence in taking and documenting vital signs
• Understanding of HIPAA and resident confidentiality
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Attention to detail and good organizational habits
• A compassionate, patient, and dependable approach
