Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with CT, X-ray, fluoroscopy, C-arm, and portable imaging studies with professionalism and attention to detail
• Provide compassionate patient care and safe patient transport for imaging procedures
• Operate and troubleshoot Siemens 64/128 slice CTs, Carestream and GE portables, OEC C-arms, and Philips radiography equipment where applicable
• Accurately document procedures and patient information in Cerner immediately and thoroughly
• Maintain radiation safety practices and wear appropriate monitoring badges (travelers provide their own)
• Collaborate with on-site radiologists and teleradiology services to ensure timely imaging and results
• Float to portable CXR and other imaging areas as needed to support department flow and patient care
• Promote a positive patient and team experience, supporting a culture of teamwork and respect

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• BLS certification required
• ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) required
• California CRT with Fluoroscopy permit required
• 3-5 years of radiology imaging experience preferred (posting also lists 2 years in some system fields)
• Comfortable with high-volume workflows (approximately 80 procedures per day between XR and CT)
• Ability to provide two supervisory references at submittal (one within 12 months and one within 3 years); charge acceptance references accepted

Education

• Active RN license in California required
• BSN not required per posting; clinical radiology experience and certifications take priority

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong CT imaging and radiography knowledge, including fluoroscopy techniques
• Proficiency with Cerner charting and electronic medical records
• Experience with portable chest x-rays and in-hospital portable imaging
• Familiarity with Siemens 64/128 slice CT platforms and other common imaging vendors
• Good communication, teamwork, and patient-transport coordination skills
• Ability to adapt to floating across CT, C-arm, X-ray, and Fluoro as needed
