Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality abdominal, OB/GYN and small parts ultrasound exams with professionalism and attention to detail
• Operate ultrasound equipment safely and maintain proper image documentation for accurate interpretation
• Collaborate with radiologists and referring clinicians to ensure timely, patient-centered care
• Prepare patients for exams with clear, compassionate explanations and appropriate positioning
• Maintain exam logs, complete required documentation and follow facility protocols
• Keep equipment clean and report any maintenance needs to ensure uninterrupted service
• Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively and mentoring colleagues when possible

Qualifications

• Current certification or registry in diagnostic medical sonography preferred (ARDMS, ARRT(S) or equivalent)
• Active state licensure as required by Oklahoma regulations
• Experience performing abdominal (AB), OB/GYN and small parts ultrasound exams
• Strong patient care skills with the ability to work evenings and overnight shifts
• Basic life support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, associate degree or equivalent training

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with ultrasound equipment and image optimization techniques
• Knowledge of anatomy and pathology related to abdominal, OB/GYN and small parts imaging
• Ability to follow imaging protocols and produce reproducible diagnostic images
• Good verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with care teams
• Time management and organizational skills to handle a varied patient load
