Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert, compassionate ICU nursing care for critically ill cardiac patients
• Continuously monitor and interpret hemodynamic data and respond appropriately
• Manage advanced cardiac devices and therapies such as IABP and Impella
• Perform and assist with procedures including central line and Swan-Ganz insertion and intubations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate complex patient care
• Document care accurately in Meditech and maintain high standards of patient safety
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatments, and recovery plans

Qualifications

• Current RN license (ability to practice in Tennessee required)
• Minimum 2 years ICU/cardiac critical care experience
• ACLS required; BLS required
• Demonstrated experience with PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring
• Hands-on experience with IABP and Impella strongly preferred
• Familiarity with central line and Swan-Ganz insertion and intubation
• CRRT experience preferred
• Comfortable using Meditech or similar electronic documentation systems

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong cardiac critical care knowledge and clinical judgment
• Proficient in hemodynamic monitoring and interpreting invasive lines
• Skilled in managing mechanical circulatory support and post-procedural care
• Ability to work in a 2:1 patient ratio environment and prioritize effectively
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in high-acuity settings
• Familiarity with Phillips telemetry monitors and Hill-Rom equipment
