Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Flexible shifts, 10.5-hour shifts available based on facility needs

Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies
Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating needs
Ensure sterile field is maintained throughout surgery
Position and drape patients for surgical procedures
Monitor and document surgical counts of instruments and sponges
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes

Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
Current BLS certification
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Team player with excellent communication skills
Ability to stand for long periods and handle physical demands of the role

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control
Proficiency in surgical instrumentation and equipment
Understanding of anatomy and surgical procedures
Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and respond quickly
Excellent organizational and time management skills
