Shift Type: Rotating 8-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM; weekend shifts 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, with 1-2 weeknight calls 3:15 PM - 6:45 AM and weekend calls every 3-4 weeks Friday 3:15 PM - Monday 6:45 AM

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons across Ortho, Neuro, General, and Robotics cases with precision and care
• Prepare operating suites and ensure all equipment like DaVinci XI and ION Robot is ready for procedures
• Scrub in for total joints, spinal fusions, arthroscopies, and open belly cases to support positive patient outcomes
• Float to different specialties as a second scrub or provide 1:1 patient sitting support when needed
• Maintain a sterile field and anticipate surgeon needs during fast-paced procedures
• Collaborate with charge nurses and the perioperative team to keep cases running smoothly

Qualifications

• Current CST or NCCT certification
• BLS certification required
• North Dakota UAP registration
• At least 1 year of OR experience in either Ortho/Neuro or General/Robotics
• Willingness to float between specialties and occasionally serve as a 1:1 sitter
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of Bismarck and not be employed by CommonSpirit facilities

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with DaVinci XI robotic systems and ION Robot
• Comfortable with Stryker towers and scope equipment
• Strong sterile technique and OR protocols
• Ability to adapt quickly between Ortho, Neuro, General, and GYN cases
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
