Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, self-scheduling within a 4-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population including COVID, respiratory, GI, diabetic, telemetry, TIA, CVA, and surgical patients
Interpret telemetry strips and sign documentation at least once per shift
Monitor and manage patients on set-rate drips such as Diltiazem
Collaborate with remote tele techs and the interdisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes
Float to East Campus or PCU when needed, expanding your clinical experience
Deliver patient-centered care with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Experience reading basic telemetry strips
Some experience with general, orthopedic, CVA, and TIA patients preferred
Cerner experience recommended

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and basic tele strip reading
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work collaboratively with charge nurses and support staff
Comfortable floating to different units as needed
Familiarity with Cerner documentation system
