Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed PCU unit
Manage titratable drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Interpret telemetry strips and monitor cardiac rhythms with confidence
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients with cardiac, vascular, sepsis, stroke, and respiratory needs
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed while maintaining excellent patient outcomes
Champion patient experience by focusing on responsiveness, clear communication, and a welcoming environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency managing arterial lines
Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Ability to titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
Minimum one year of recent PCU or step-down experience preferred

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Titratable drip management
Arterial line care and monitoring
High-flow oxygen systems
Patient education and medication communication
Cultural sensitivity with diverse patient populations
