Roles & Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment following established protocols
• Assemble instrument trays and ensure all supplies are ready for surgical procedures
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, documenting loads for quality assurance
• Inspect instruments for damage and functionality, reporting any issues promptly
• Maintain a sterile and organized work environment to uphold patient safety
• Collaborate with surgical and nursing teams to ensure timely delivery of instruments

Qualifications

• Certification in sterile processing (CBSPD or HSPA) is preferred, but we welcome candidates with a strong commitment to learning
• Previous experience in a sterile processing department is a plus
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to infection control standards
• A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of medical terminology and sterilization techniques
• Familiarity with autoclaves, washers, and sterilization tracking systems
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols accurately
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with clinical staff
