Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for Med Surg/Tele patients
• Monitor telemetry and stroke patients, responding quickly to changes in condition
• Document patient progress and care delivered accurately and timely
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and home care needs

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent Med Surg/Tele experience
• 2+ years of experience working with stroke patients
• Willingness to take telemetry patients as needed
• Ability to obtain NIHSS and mRS/SIREN certifications within 48 hours if offered
• Active Maryland RN license or compact license
• Current AHA BLS certification
• COVID-19 vaccination required (declinations not accepted)
• Previous travel experience required
• Must be willing to work facility schedule including weekends and on-call

• Strong patient assessment and care planning skills
• Proficient in telemetry monitoring and stroke patient care
• Excellent documentation skills with attention to detail
• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and team dynamics
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
