Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team
• Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients and their families
• Use nursing clinical judgment to recognize and promptly report changes in patient condition
• Manage conflict using professional communication to contribute to a healthy workplace environment
• Meet Core Measure responsibilities and participate in continuing education
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Current CPR/BLS card
• Current ACLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
• Ability to provide high-quality care in a 4:1 patient ratio PCU setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and care planning skills
• Proficiency with Point Click EMR
• Cardiac and respiratory care knowledge
• Excellent clinical documentation abilities
• Collaborative and professional communication skills
