Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist during examinations and procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Take digital X-rays and dental impressions
• Apply and remove braces, wires, and other orthodontic appliances
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Maintain accurate patient records and update Denticon software

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or relevant experience preferred
• Current Maryland X-ray certification is a plus
• Previous orthodontic assisting experience is highly valued
• CPR certification preferred
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced patient-focused environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments and procedures
• Familiarity with dental software, including Denticon
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to infection control
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative dental team
