Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all dental instruments are sterilized and ready for each patient
• Assist dental hygienists during procedures to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience
• Greet patients warmly, update medical histories, and chart dental conditions
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care instructions
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment in compliance with infection control standards
• Support the dental team with patient records, scheduling, and other administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification or equivalent hands-on experience
• Familiarity with dental terminology, instruments, and sterilization protocols
• Strong patient care and communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Ability to stand for extended periods and assist during chairside procedures
• CPR/BLS certification is preferred
• Willingness to follow all safety, HIPAA, and infection control guidelines

Knowledge & Skills

• Chairside assisting techniques and dental procedure support
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
• Familiarity with dental practice management software is a plus
• Time management skills to keep patient flow on schedule
