Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
Operate and maintain sterilizers, washers, and ultrasonic cleaners
Ensure sterile field integrity and infection control standards
Document sterilization processes and maintain accurate logs
Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure timely instrument availability
Monitor inventory levels and restock sterile supplies as needed

Qualifications

Current BLS certification required
At least 1-2 years of sterile processing experience preferred
Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or similar highly valued
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety

Knowledge & Skills

Thorough understanding of sterilization methods (steam, ethylene oxide, etc.)
Knowledge of infection control and aseptic technique
Familiarity with instrument identification and tray assembly
Proficiency with tracking software and documentation
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
