Roles & Responsibilities

• Process, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and prepare surgical instruments and supplies for procedures
• Ensure all sterilization protocols and infection control standards are followed meticulously
• Document and track instrument sets, supplies, and sterilization cycles accurately
• Collaborate with surgical and clinical teams to support timely case turnover
• Maintain a clean, organized sterile processing environment and troubleshoot equipment issues
• Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• CBSPB or HSPA certification required (formerly IAHCSMM)
• Active ability to work evening shift (PM) schedule and one weekend in a 4-week cycle
• Demonstrated knowledge of sterile processing procedures and infection prevention
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols
• Reliable, team-oriented mindset with good communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth understanding of sterilization techniques and instrument handling
• Experience with decontamination workflows and sterilization equipment
• Familiarity with inventory control and instrument tracking best practices
• Ability to read and follow manufacturer instructions and facility policies
• Strong organizational skills and commitment to patient safety
