Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (NOC). Schedule varies by week (may include nights across any days of the week), includes 6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance; assignments may be single-facility weekly or Just-In-Time (facility assigned 1-2 hours before shift).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care across multiple units in the MS-Tele float pool, including cardiac, neuro, oncology and post-op patients
• Safely titrate heparin drips and manage other titratable therapies within unit protocols
• Perform thorough assessments and timely documentation using EPIC to ensure continuity of care
• Float between facilities within Zone 3 as assigned and adapt quickly to different unit workflows and teams
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, communicate changes in patient status, and escalate when needed
• Serve as a reliable team member during nights and weekends, supporting patient flow and unit needs
• Precept and learn during unit-specific orientation (1-2 days with a preceptor) to become competent across assigned units

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (able to submit license) — state licensure required
• Minimum 2 years of MS-Telemetry nursing experience (explicit requirement)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications and NIHSS certification required
• Experience with EPIC charting and telemetry monitoring
• Comfortable with 12-hour night shifts and a schedule that includes weekends
• Ability to float across facilities within a 60-mile radius of Denver City Center and secure housing to support that requirement
• Demonstrated ability to titrate heparin and manage adult/geriatric patient populations

Education

• Active RN (Registered Nurse) license required
• BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills
• Familiarity with neuro, ortho, oncology, renal and general medicine patient care
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic charting
• Experience with respiratory support equipment and collaboration with RT (CPAP/BiPAP, vents familiarity helpful)
• Ability to work with nurse aides, follow charge nurse directions, and function within varying nurse:patient ratios (typically 1:5-6)
• Adaptability, strong clinical judgment, and effective communication in fast-paced acute care settings
