Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain specialized lab instruments (Cobas, Sysmex, Stago) to deliver accurate results
• Perform blood bank testing and cross-matching with attention to patient safety
• Process and analyze urinalysis specimens and perform limited microbiology testing
• Follow quality control, documentation, and laboratory safety procedures to maintain compliance
• Troubleshoot instrumentation issues and coordinate maintenance or calibration as needed
• Collaborate with clinical teams and communicate results clearly to support patient care

Qualifications

• Current MLT license required (National MLT license specified)
• Hands-on experience with Cobas, Sysmex, Stago instrumentation
• Demonstrated blood bank, urinalysis, and basic microbiology competency
• Strong attention to detail with adherence to QC and documentation standards
• Team player with good communication skills and ability to work evening/overnight shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with clinical laboratory instruments and routine maintenance
• Knowledge of blood bank procedures and transfusion safety
• Understanding of urinalysis and microbiology specimen processing
• Familiarity with laboratory quality systems, CLIA regulations, and safety protocols
• Ability to use laboratory information systems and document results accurately
