Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Skilled Nursing Facility
Location: Wilmington, Delaware
Start Date: 08-05-2026
End Date: 11-04-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled speech, language, and swallowing therapy in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center
- Conduct screenings, comprehensive evaluations, and evidence-based treatments for patients with communication and swallowing disorders
- Develop and update individualized treatment and discharge plans to help patients reach their goals
- Document services carefully to meet state, federal, and facility standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to deliver the best possible care
- Maintain compliance with infection control and safety protocols to create a safe healing environment
Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
- Current Delaware SLP license or eligibility to obtain one
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or CFY eligibility
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and clinical problem-solving abilities
- A genuine passion for helping patients improve their quality of life
Education
- Master's degree (MS/MA) from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong foundation in speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Patient evaluation and evidence-based treatment planning
- Accurate clinical documentation and regulatory compliance
- Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
- Clinical problem-solving and adaptability
