Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to assigned patients during the night shift
• Perform thorough assessments and document changes in condition accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and transitions
• Educate patients and families about care plans, discharge instructions, and health maintenance
• Respond promptly to emergencies and escalate concerns to the appropriate provider
• Maintain accurate electronic health record documentation and complete required shift reports

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in California (required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required); ACLS/PALS preferred if applicable
• Previous nursing experience in SCHHW/MST or similar settings is a strong plus
• Comfortable working independently on night shifts and making sound clinical decisions
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with a diverse care team
• Vaccination and health screening compliance per facility policy

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and triage skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and accurate charting
• Patient education and discharge planning
• Time management and prioritization during high-volume shifts
• Teamwork, professional communication, and de-escalation techniques
