Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' respiratory status and develop individualized care plans
• Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen, aerosol medications, and ventilator management
• Monitor and adjust mechanical ventilation for critically ill patients
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and home care
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Document treatments and patient responses accurately

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana Respiratory Therapist license in good standing
• BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
• Previous experience in an acute care or hospital setting preferred
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment and ventilators
• Strong patient assessment skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach
