Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform expert venipuncture and phlebotomy for oncology and hematology patients in a warm, ambulatory clinic setting.
• Support the Hem/Onc and OIC Lab by accurately transcribing orders and abstracting charts as needed.
• Partner with the care team to prepare patients for exams and ensure every visit runs smoothly.
• Document patient information with precision in Epic, helping to maintain a seamless continuum of care.
• Uphold a safe, compassionate environment by following clinic protocols and anticipating patient needs.

Qualifications

• Active Medical Assistant - Certified (MA-C) credential
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Valid driver's license required at submission
• At least 1 year of medical assistant experience with strong venipuncture and phlebotomy skills
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records

• Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture technique
• Epic EHR proficiency
