Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and medications to patients per physician orders
• Assess and monitor patients' respiratory status, adjusting care plans as needed
• Operate and manage ventilators and other respiratory equipment
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and home care techniques
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality patient care
• Document patient responses and maintain accurate records in compliance with facility standards

Qualifications

• Current Oregon Respiratory Therapist license
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
• Previous acute care experience preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of respiratory therapy modalities and equipment
• Understanding of patient assessment and monitoring
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency with electronic health records
• Strong interpersonal and documentation skills
• Adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environment
