Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions
• Manage and monitor mechanical ventilators for critically ill patients
• Administer aerosolized medications and oxygen therapy as prescribed
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient care
• Respond to rapid response and code blue situations with confidence
• Educate patients and families on respiratory equipment and home care

Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist license (RRT or CRT)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• At least 1 year of recent acute care respiratory therapy experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in ventilator management and arterial blood gas interpretation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy protocols and infection control standards
