Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to labor and delivery patients, ensuring a safe and supportive environment
• Monitor patients throughout labor, delivery, and recovery, intervening as needed for optimal outcomes
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on postpartum care, newborn care, and breastfeeding
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with all healthcare team members

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience
• Active Rhode Island RN license in good standing
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• EPIC experience required

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EPIC preferred)
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• EFM certification preferred
