Shift Type: 4-10 hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 5:30 PM or 5-8 hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM, with 10-15 on-call shifts per month for STEMI/Stroke coverage.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Assist physicians during angiograms, angioplasty, and stent placements
• Monitor patient vitals, hemodynamics, and sedation levels throughout procedures
• Administer medications and contrast media as directed
• Provide pre- and post-procedure education and care to patients and families
• Respond rapidly to STEMI and stroke alerts as part of the on-call team

Qualifications

• Current RN license in New Jersey (or compact license eligible)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• DCI/BVP certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Sterile technique and infection control
• IV insertion and medication administration
• Critical thinking and ability to act quickly in emergencies
