Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate respiratory therapy to patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions
• Set up, operate, and monitor ventilators and other respiratory equipment
• Assess patient respiratory status and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with the care team
• Administer oxygen, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy as ordered
• Educate patients and families on breathing exercises and equipment use

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist license in Iowa or compact eligibility
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
• Previous experience in an acute care or hospital setting preferred
• Ability to pass background checks and health screenings

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong working knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment and best practices
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and strong documentation skills
• Compassionate approach to patient care
