Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to telemetry patients including CHF, respiratory, GI, diabetic, post-cath, and total joint replacement cases
Interpret cardiac rhythms and sign off on strips at least once per shift
Monitor patients on set-rate drips such as Diltiazem/Cardizem
Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse aides to deliver excellent care
Float to East Campus or PCU when qualified to support team needs
Document accurately using Cerner electronic health record

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% or higher within two attempts
Experience reading basic telemetry strips and caring for CVA/TIA patients
Total joint replacement experience preferred
Cerner experience recommended due to limited orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Care for CHF, COVID, respiratory, GI, and diabetic patients
Post-cath and total joint replacement recovery support
BiPAP, CPAP, and breathing treatment management
Cerner documentation system
