Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma patients on a 28-bed PCU/Med-Surg unit
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medication drips including heparin and cardizem
Monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions using ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring skills
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dietitians
Float to other PCU and Med-Surg units as needed while maintaining excellent patient outcomes
Champion hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives to ensure every patient feels supported

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
Chemotherapy administration experience preferred
First-time travelers welcome with strong clinical skills
Valid driver's license required at time of submission

Knowledge & Skills

Chemotherapy administration and oncology care protocols
Ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz, EV-1000)
ICP monitoring and titration of insulin and cardizem drips
EPIC electronic medical record system
Alaris IV pumps and specialty lift equipment
Strong teamwork, cultural sensitivity, and patient advocacy
