Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized, compassionate care to premature and critically ill newborns in a Level 4 NICU
Monitor and manage ventilators, cardiac monitors, and ECMO patients with precision and care
Collaborate with neonatologists and mid-level providers available 24/7 to deliver exceptional outcomes
Support families through complex diagnoses including cardiac defects, genetic disorders, and surgical recoveries
Float to mother-baby and labor care units when needed, caring for babies only
Maintain sterile technique during procedures and ensure patient safety at every step

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and NRP certifications required
Minimum 3 years of NICU experience in a Level 3 or 4 unit
Previous travel experience preferred
Cardiac STABLE certification is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of sterile field protocols and infection prevention
Experience with Cerner EMR and Phillips telemetry
Comfortable managing vents, ECMO, and cooling therapies
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Flexible and adaptable when floating to related units
