Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Wednesday-Sunday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, expert care to our tiniest patients in a Level III NICU
Monitor and manage ventilators and central lines with precision and confidence
Collaborate with OB/GYNs, Neonatologists, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists
Float occasionally to Mother-Baby or L&D to support newborns and families
Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing following AWHONN/NANN guidelines
Serve as a trusted advocate ensuring every baby receives individualized attention

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and NRP certifications required
Minimum three years of recent NICU nursing experience
Proven ability to work with ventilators and central lines
Strong critical thinking, communication, and multitasking skills
Valid driver's license for radius verification at submission

Knowledge & Skills

Neonatal critical care and ventilator management
Central line care and assessment
Family-centered communication with parents and care teams
Floating comfortably between NICU, Mother-Baby, and L&D units
Independent decision-making in high-acuity situations
