Location: Grand Island, Nebraska

Start Date: 06-22-2026

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM with 1 night per week on call and every 5th or 6th weekend on call

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert perioperative nursing care across multiple surgical specialties
Collaborate with surgeons and the OR team to ensure safe, efficient procedures
Support patients through pre-op preparation and post-op recovery when needed
Respond to trauma cases in the ER when floating is required
Maintain flexibility as daily schedules shift across neurosurgery, orthopedics, robotics, and more
Mentor and educate fellow staff while contributing to a culture of safety

Qualifications

Active RN license and current BLS and ACLS certifications
Strong experience across all surgical service lines including neurosurgery
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment without specialized teams
Willingness to float to Pre/Post op, PACU, and ER trauma as needed
Must pass open-book skills exam with 90 percent or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with EPIC electronic medical records
Skilled in Da Vinci robotic procedures and general surgery cases
Knowledge of adult, geriatric, pediatric, and obstetric patient populations
Strong teamwork and adaptability to varied daily schedules
Excellent communication and willingness to share clinical expertise
