Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess progressive care patients to detect changes in condition early
• Administer medications and treatments with precision and compassion
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families on care plans, treatments, and recovery strategies
• Respond quickly to critical situations and provide timely interventions to stabilize patients

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Louisiana or a compact state
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• At least one year of PCU, telemetry, or critical care nursing experience is strongly preferred
• ACLS certification is a plus
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of progressive care nursing principles and practices
• Comfort with telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Skilled in patient assessment and creating individualized care plans
• Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
