Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed Progressive Care Unit
Manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Interpret telemetry strips and respond promptly to patient changes
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient experiences and outcomes
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed while maintaining PCU-level care standards
Support a culturally diverse patient population with empathy and clear communication

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency managing arterial lines
Strong telemetry interpretation and critical thinking skills
Ability to arrive within 30 minutes when called in from on-call status
Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and be a flexible team player

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Titration of cardiac and vasoactive medications
Arterial line management
High-flow oxygen therapy support
Patient experience focus and clear medication communication
Cultural sensitivity with Hispanic and Somalian patient populations
