Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized nursing care to patients with epilepsy, brain tumors, and other neurological conditions
Monitor patients on continuous EEG and detect subtle changes in neurological status
Perform comprehensive neuro assessments and apply critical thinking to deliver safe, high-quality care
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and pharmacy
Float to Med-Surg/Tele units and sister campuses as needed to support patient care across the system

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience
Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
BSN preferred; Med-Surg/Tele certification a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Strong neuro assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to recognize subtle changes in patient condition
Experience with epilepsy monitoring and post-neurosurgical care
Competent in sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Comfortable floating between Med-Surg and Telemetry units
