Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients across multiple specialties
Float throughout the Zone 1 region covering facilities in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and Canon City
Monitor and manage patients on heparin drips while maintaining safe nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6
Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care transitions
Adapt quickly to various units including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Ortho, and Trauma
Support patients through post-surgical recovery, medical management, and stable long-term placements

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact license
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of MS-Tele experience
Neuro experience preferred
Ability to float within a 60-mile radius and work flexible schedules

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills across telemetry and medical-surgical units
Experience with cardiac monitoring, neuro assessments, and post-operative care
Comfortable floating between ICU holds, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele units as needed
Excellent communication and adaptability in dynamic float pool environments
