Roles & Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care for outpatient cardiology patients following established standards and best practices
Assist providers and clinic staff in coordinating patient care from check-in to follow-up
Serve as the primary liaison between patients, providers, and clinic staff to ensure seamless care
Perform and interpret EKGs and monitor cardiac rhythms, identifying arrhythmias and escalating as needed
Administer and manage cardiac medications and assist with cardiac procedures per clinic protocols
Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, medications, and post-procedure care to promote recovery and adherence
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support quality and safety initiatives in the clinic

Qualifications

MT RN Licensure (required)
Graduate of a nursing program
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
Basic Coronary Class required
At least 2 years of cardiac nursing experience preferred
Willingness to complete pre-employment screening (criminal background check, drug screen, health/immunizations)

Education

Graduate of a nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of EKG interpretation and cardiac arrhythmias
Familiarity with cardiac medications and common cardiac procedures
Patient care coordination and effective patient liaison skills
Solid medical terminology knowledge and basic nursing principles
Comfortable with keyboarding and basic office/clinic administrative tasks
