Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered perioperative care in the operating room with precision and compassion
• Prepare the OR environment, instruments, and sterile field to support efficient surgical flow
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthetists, and the perioperative team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Monitor patients throughout the perioperative process and communicate changes promptly to the team
• Document perioperative care thoroughly and accurately according to facility and regulatory standards
• Mentor and support colleagues when appropriate, contributing to a positive, team-first culture

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be active and in good standing)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (as stated in the job posting)
• Experience in the Operating Room and perioperative nursing (OR experience preferred)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required; perioperative certifications encouraged
• Comfort with travel nursing assignments and meeting credentialing requirements for the facility

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong perioperative knowledge including sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Ability to anticipate surgical team needs and maintain efficient OR workflow
• Effective communication and teamwork in high-acuity surgical environments
• Proficient clinical assessment skills and attention to patient safety protocols
• Familiarity with documentation standards and electronic medical records used in perioperative settings
