Roles & Responsibilities

Provide top-notch perioperative care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to ensure seamless operations
Monitor patient vital signs and manage anesthesia recovery
Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols
Educate patients and families about surgical procedures and post-op care
Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in sterile technique and surgical asepsis
Knowledge of perioperative nursing standards and best practices
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Comfortable using surgical equipment and instrumentation
