Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 12.5-hour shifts, days or nights, per diem schedule including weekends and holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill neonates
Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage ventilators
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
Educate and support families through the NICU journey
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with protocols
Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate as needed

Qualifications

Current RN license in Virginia
BSN preferred
Minimum 1 year of NICU experience
BLS and NRP certifications required
Excellent assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of neonatal assessment and interventions
Skill in operating neonatal monitoring equipment and ventilators
Ability to handle high-stress situations with composure
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
