Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, rotating weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population on the ortho/med-surg/tele unit
Monitor telemetry strips and respond to changes in patient condition
Administer medications, wound care, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
Educate patients and families on post-surgical care and recovery plans
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted RN license in Iowa or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg/Telemetry experience, ortho preferred
BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and rotate weekends/holidays
Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
Knowledge of orthopedic post-operative care and pain management
Skilled in IV insertion, wound care, and patient assessment
Comfortable with electronic health records and documentation systems
Team player with a positive attitude and adaptability
